Intelligent Monitoring, IoT & Early-Warning Technologies
IoT architectures, distributed sensing networks, real-time monitoring, and intelligent early-warning systems for hazards and operations.
International Conference on Smart Engineering and Technology
Smart Engineering and Technology for Sustainable, Intelligent, and Resilient Systems
For authors from Uzbekistan, in-person (offline) presentation is mandatory. International authors are also expected to present in person; online presentation may be permitted in special cases, with prior approval of the Conference Chair.
SET-2027 — International Conference on Smart Engineering and Technology, hosted by Tashkent State Transport University, invites original and unpublished research from researchers, academicians, industry professionals, and research scholars across the globe.
The conference serves as an international platform for presenting advances in smart engineering systems, intelligent technologies, digital transformation, and sustainable solutions that address contemporary engineering and industrial challenges. Each of the five tracks is aligned with a corresponding IEEE Society, Council, or Technical Community.
Submissions should articulate how and why the work represents a significant advancement. Purely qualitative papers without a technical basis are out of scope. Each track is chaired by a member of the Technical Program Committee.
IoT architectures, distributed sensing networks, real-time monitoring, and intelligent early-warning systems for hazards and operations.
Digital twins, BIM workflows, AI-assisted design and simulation, and computer-aided engineering for smart construction and transport.
Advanced and smart materials, embedded sensing, and material-level intelligence enabling self-aware infrastructure systems.
Renewable integration, smart-grid technologies, power supply optimisation, and energy-efficient engineering for sustainable systems.
Smart-city systems, sustainable built environments, technosphere safety, and human-centered approaches to urban resilience.
The registration category must be selected based on the affiliation & membership of the First Author. All fees are subject to applicable taxes.
SET-2027 is currently in the process of applying for IEEE Technical Co-Sponsorship with the IEEE Kazakhstan Section. This application has not yet been confirmed, and no approval has been received at this stage. Any reference to IEEE on this site does not imply that technical co-sponsorship has been granted.

Each paper is reviewed by at least two independent experts of the Technical Program Committee on the following scale:
| Score | Meaning | Recommendation |
|---|---|---|
| +2 | Strong accept — significant contribution | Accept |
| +1 | Accept — good quality and relevant | Accept |
| 0 | Borderline — requires improvement | Major revision |
| −1 | Reject — lacks clarity or contribution | Reject |
| −2 | Strong reject — out of scope / poor work | Reject |
Key evaluation criteria
Final acceptance decisions are made by the Technical Program Chairs, based on reviewer feedback and recommendations.
Papers should clearly articulate technical depth, quantitative analysis, and practical relevance, answering how and why the work represents a significant advancement.
Out of scope: purely qualitative papers — case studies, managerial impact without a technical basis, policy discussions, or economic models — will not be considered.
Submit your manuscript through the official SET-2027 submission portal. Create an account, then upload your PDF for review.
