International Conference on Smart Engineering and Technology
Smart Engineering and Technology for Sustainable, Intelligent, and Resilient Systems
For authors from Uzbekistan, in-person (offline) presentation is mandatory. International authors are also expected to present in person; online presentation may be permitted in special cases, with prior approval of the Conference Chair.
SET-2027 — International Conference on Smart Engineering and Technology, hosted by Tashkent State Transport University, invites original and unpublished research from researchers, academicians, industry professionals, and research scholars across the globe.
The conference serves as an international platform for presenting advances in smart engineering systems, intelligent technologies, digital transformation, and sustainable solutions that address contemporary engineering and industrial challenges. Each of the five tracks is aligned with a corresponding IEEE Society, Council, or Technical Community.
Submissions should articulate how and why the work represents a significant advancement. Purely qualitative papers without a technical basis are out of scope. Each track is chaired by a member of the Technical Program Committee.
Intelligent transport control, connected and automated vehicles, railway automation, smart mobility, traffic monitoring, V2X communications, transport safety, and AI-based transportation technologies.
Remote sensing systems, satellite and geospatial data processing, Earth observation, GIS technologies, environmental monitoring, natural-hazard assessment, and remote monitoring of transport infrastructure.
Reliability assessment, fault detection and diagnosis, predictive maintenance, condition monitoring, prognostics and health management, risk analysis, and early-warning technologies.
Industrial electronics, automation and control, embedded systems, cyber-physical systems, intelligent instrumentation, robotics, digital twins, and AI-based industrial technologies.
Power systems, renewable energy integration, smart grids, power electronics, energy storage, electrical transportation systems, intelligent energy management, and energy-efficient technologies.

All accepted papers, which are oral or poster presented at the conference, will be submitted for inclusion in the IEEE Xplore Digital Library (Scopus and Web of Science indexation), subject to meeting IEEE Xplore's scope and quality requirements. IEEE Quality Control of Conference Proceedings may lead to delays in posting the proceedings in the IEEE Xplore Digital Library or may result in some papers not being published if they do not meet IEEE quality criteria. Please note that "No-show" papers will not be included in the IEEE Xplore Digital Library.

Each paper is reviewed by at least two independent experts of the Technical Program Committee on the following scale:
| Score | Meaning | Recommendation |
|---|---|---|
| +2 | Strong accept — significant contribution | Accept |
| +1 | Accept — good quality and relevant | Accept |
| 0 | Borderline — requires improvement | Major revision |
| −1 | Reject — lacks clarity or contribution | Reject |
| −2 | Strong reject — out of scope / poor work | Reject |
Key evaluation criteria
Final acceptance decisions are made by the Technical Program Chairs, based on reviewer feedback and recommendations.
A conference paper should contain the following sections:
Papers should clearly articulate technical depth, quantitative analysis, and practical relevance, answering how and why the work represents a significant advancement.
Out of scope: purely qualitative papers — case studies, managerial impact without a technical basis, policy discussions, or economic models — will not be considered.
Please note: review papers are not accepted through the regular Call for Papers. Only 1–2 invited review papers may be accepted, and only from distinguished keynote or plenary speakers.
Submit your manuscript through the official SET-2027 submission portal. Create an account, then upload your PDF for review.
